Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 16, 2026

This policy covers the public PocketClients Pages and the lead form on them. When you submit an enquiry, it is delivered to the independent professional who published the page, who then handles your information under their own responsibility (see Section 4).

1. Introduction & Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how PocketClients ("we", "us") handles personal information in connection with PocketClients Pages ("PocketPages") — the public profile pages published at pages.pocketclients.com and the lead form on those pages.

It is specific to PocketPages. The PocketClients mobile app has its own privacy policy that governs the app and the professional’s account; this policy covers what happens on the public pages and through the lead form. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and our Acceptable Use & Usage Guidelines.

2. Who This Policy Covers

PocketPages involves two kinds of people, and this policy addresses both:

  • Visitors — anyone who views a published page or submits an enquiry ("lead") through its contact form.
  • Publishers — the service professionals who create and publish a page using the PocketClients app.

An important distinction runs through this policy: a Publisher is an independent business, not part of PocketClients. When a Visitor sends a lead, we deliver it to the Publisher, and the Publisher then handles that information under their own responsibility. See Section 4.

3. Information We Collect

From Visitors who submit a lead through the contact form, we collect the information they choose to provide, which typically includes:

  • Name and the contact details they enter, such as phone number and email address.
  • The message or enquiry details they write, including any information they choose to include about the work they want done.

From Visitors who simply view a page, we and our service providers may automatically collect limited technical and usage data, such as:

  • IP address, approximate (city-level) location derived from it, browser and device type, and operating system.
  • Pages viewed, referring links, and basic interaction and diagnostic data used to keep the service working and secure.

From Publishers, the content placed on a page — business name, description, services, pricing, photos, hours, and contact details — is published by the Publisher and is intended to be public. Account and subscription information for Publishers is handled under the PocketClients app privacy policy.

4. Leads & the Publisher Relationship

When you submit a lead, the information goes to the individual Publisher whose page you used, so that they can respond to your enquiry. PocketClients operates the form and transmits and stores the lead on the Publisher’s behalf.

The Publisher is an independent business and is responsible for how they use your information once they receive it — for example, how they contact you and how long they keep your details. Our Acceptable Use & Usage Guidelines require Publishers to use lead information only to respond to your enquiry and to comply with applicable anti-spam and data-protection laws, but we do not control their conduct.

If you want a Publisher to stop contacting you or to delete the details you submitted, the most direct route is to ask that Publisher. You can also contact us at support@pocketclients.com and we will help where we can.

5. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Deliver leads to the relevant Publisher and operate the contact form.
  • Provide, maintain, secure, and improve PocketPages.
  • Detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, spam, fraud, and violations of our Terms or Acceptable Use Guidelines.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use lead information to send our own marketing to Visitors.

6. Cookies & Analytics

PocketPages uses only the cookies and similar technologies needed to serve pages reliably and securely, together with limited, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. We do not use pages for cross-site advertising tracking. Where the law requires consent for non-essential cookies, we will ask for it.

7. How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to run the service:

  • With the Publisher — leads are shared with the Publisher whose page you used, as described in Section 4.
  • With service providers — we use trusted infrastructure providers (including Google Firebase / Google Cloud) to host the service, store data, and deliver messages, under agreements that limit their use of the data to providing those services.
  • For legal reasons — where we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, or necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or PocketClients.
  • In a business transfer — if PocketClients is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

We do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

8. Data Retention

We keep lead and usage information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — to deliver and store leads for the Publisher, to operate and secure the service, and to meet legal requirements — after which we delete or anonymize it. Publishers may also delete leads, and the data a Publisher holds is subject to their own retention practices.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable hosting infrastructure, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, or to data portability — for example under the GDPR/UK GDPR, Canada’s PIPEDA, and California’s CCPA/CPRA.

  • For information you submitted as a lead, the Publisher who received it is the primary holder of that data; ask them directly to access or delete it, and contact us if you need help.
  • For information PocketClients itself holds, email support@pocketclients.com and we will respond as required by applicable law.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

11. International Data Transfers

PocketClients and its service providers may process and store information in countries other than the one you live in, including Canada and the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12. Children’s Privacy

PocketPages is intended for business use by adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be reflected on this page. Continued use of PocketPages after a change means you accept the updated policy.
